Pet Food Recall and
Choosing a Diet of Homemade Pet Food for Your
Pets
A year after the
initial round of pet deaths and problems caused by tainted pet
food, dog and cat owners are still worried and
frustrated, wondering which pet foods are actually
safe for their beloved animals.
Now that some time has gone by, we’ve since learned that one
manufacturer used wheat gluten in their pet foods, which caused
most of the health problems suffered by animals the first time
around. As a result, pet owners started reading the labels
of the food, in hopes to find a safer product to give to their
pets.
Unfortunately, even educated and persistent pet owners found
label reading to be a waste of time. Yet another
manufacturer reportedly used a rice concentrate in one
company’s dog food, but didn’t list the ingredient on the
food label of the package.
Pet owners are now frustrated from all of these recalls
and a new fear sets in - which food is actually safe?
Because of this fear, many pet owners are now feeding
their pets homemade human food.
